About Me

This , that and the other

My Interests

Sitting on park benches looking at squirrels. Breaking phones. Playing Records. Annoying myself. Sleep deprivation. Highstreet Narcotics. Mumbling nonsense. Drinking and feeling a bit rubbish. Moodswinging. Vegetable eating. Buying too many newspapers and not throwing them away. Unfinished opinions. Day dreaming. Thinking too much about not thinking enough. Discovering new music. Dancing like I mean it. Not knowing when to stop. From one extreme to the other. White Tea/Green Tea/More Tea please. New Places. Same faces. Last minute travel. Hostels. The most delicious Dumplings straight from greenwich village. Some People I recognize.

I'd like to meet:

people who make me smile and stuff.

Music:

Spiritualized, Radiohead,Themselves, Sole, Buck 65, Sixtoo, Restiform Bodies, Deep Puddle Dynamics, Passage, cLOUDDEAD, Greenthink, Boom Bip, odd nosdam, Alias, Doseone, Sage Francis,Why?,A silver Mt zion, Godspeed! You black emperor, Aphex Twin ... the artist who got me into music that my neighbours hate me for, boards of Canada, Squarepusher, M83, Aspects, The Chap, Sigur Ros, Múm, I used to be dangerously obsessed with Wu-Tang Clan... Rest In Peace Big Baby Jesus, Pixies, Liars, Grizzley Giant Venetian Snares, Task Force, Dizzee Rascal, Amon Tobin, Non-Prophets, Public Enemy, Marnie Stern, 'ZILLA', Hymie's Basement, Todd Rundgren, Goth-Trad, Abstrackt Keal Agram, Tepr, Jacob Golden, Ivor Cutler, The Black Heart Procession, Mercury Rev, Subtle, Health, THESE ARE POWERS, SIDS, Deerhunter, The Amoeba Men, Pepe DeluxeAnd much more I've haven't heard yet..That's what I hope anyway.

Movies:

Hardly ever in a cinema, although I often get that feeling as if I've walked out of one at midday in the middle of July.I like: Princess Mononoke, Pi, Mulholland Drive, The Shining, Requiem for a Dream, Childs Play 1,2 & 3, The Conversation.I was a bit disappointed with The Fairly Odd Parents movie. So much promise but too much filler.: (

Television:

The Wire is just about the greatest bit of telly ever. The Day Today and all the beautifully twisted shows it's stars have spawned. I'm Alan Partridge, Knowing Me, knowing You, Brass eye, Jam (chris morris did the radio show justice with this), Nathan Barley. I also love The Simpsons, Black Books, Peep Show, Garth marenghi's dark place, Spaced. Seinfeld, Curb your enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Look around you. Not many shows on TV right now that I'd make an effort to watch.

Books:

Will Self always chucks out a good story, I met him once at Gatwick Airport, his kid was running about in the smoking area wearing his pyjamas. Bloody nutter. 'The Catcher in the rye', I read this book after someone told my teenage self that I was Holden Caulfield, I have gone on to prove them a bit right. 'Confederacy of Dunces' is also great. Really tragic tale behind the posthumous publication too. Can't believe i almost forgot Chuck Palahniuk. I read all his books in one obsessive week. 'The unbearable lightness of being' , a book that really got me thinking really deeply about things and stuff. 'The Rum Diary' philip k. dick is my new hero. 'The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch' is possibly the best book . Ideas, so many of them.

Heroes:

Mad tramps. People that never lose their house keys/don't mind being lost.
