The Farewell Party

The fears, the tears, the classic lines

About Me

The Farewell Party was born in Gothenburg in the summer of 2005. It emerged from the Swedish emoact The Whole Nine Yards. When it split up, four of us started a new project that later came to be named as the Farewell Party. We all had the same vision of what the sound was going to be like and we started making songs. Due to geographical distances the process of songmaking was rather slow. Now that we all live together things has started to happen and we feel more creative and inspired then ever. The music is aggressive with a sensitive melodic touch and varied screaming. It has an energy that comes to life not only in the stereo but also very much on stage. We love to move and the balance between aggressiveness and sensitivity makes us alive!
It's sad, but it looks like The farewell party says Farewell without a party. After loosing 1 of our bandmembers and thereby the inspiration of moving forward the end is closing in. It's a damn shame. It's been a fun time with a lot of struggle. If you share my pain in this tragic end, feel free to write a line or two. And just maybe the passion and the ember will burn again. /Mange, screaming for the Farewell party
