J.Coop

J.Coop was born in Toronto, and spent his early years moving between his hometown, Jamaica, and the Bronx, New York with his single-parent family. His passion for music escalated in his high school years when J.Coop became interested in all aspects of music production. While the appeal of producing music was largely the potential for financial gain, J.Coop remains personally interested in the artistic aspect of music for its capacity for self-expression.J.Coop worked loosely with VDR for sometime, and became more involved with the company as it began an artist roster overhaul, and he and TimD realized a similarity in their professional goals. J.Coop works primarily in producing, engineering, and providing guidance for fellow artists in the production of their music. As well, J.Coop works on beat production with Beat Squadron.
