About Me

"Maniac Spider Trash" was created around 1993. Although there were occasional line-up changes, the core members were Wednesday 13, Abby Normal, Sicko Zero and Michael Patrick (R.I.P.). In 1994, MST entered the studio for the first time and released a 6-song cassette called, "Dumpster Mummies". The band gained a large fan-base and quickly began to pack local clubs. Even in those early days, the shows were filled with twisted elements and the music was dark and hard hitting.
In 1995, Maniac Spider Trash entered the studio again to record a full length CD called, "Murder Happy Fairytales". Although the CD was packed full of great songs, "Murder Happy Fairytales" was an ill-fated venture that would never see an official release. Shortly after it's recording, Maniac Spider Trash disbanded when Wednesday 13 and Sicko Zero formed "The Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13".

1. HOW AND WHEN DID THE BAND FORM? Abby Normal:(In the summer of '69, me and some friends from school had a band and we tried real hard...) Actually, we formed in May of 1993 after playing in other various bullshit, stupid untrue bands. We all love playing aggressive and loud music. Designing our theatrics and props for our live shows is just as much fun as writing MANIAC SPIDER TRASH Music. It's in our Blood!2. HOW DID THE BAND GET NAMED MANIAC SPIDER TRASH? We inherited it from our dead rich uncle. R.I.P. You know, they never found his other testicle.3. WHAT'S A GOOD DESCRIPTION OF THE KIND OF MUSIC THAT'S FOUND ON YOUR E.P "DUMPSTER MUMMIES"? Monster, psycho, shock-rock, street trash.4. WHO IS YOUR MAIN INSPIRATION IN LIFE? The Groovy Ghoulies and Shaft (a hard brother from the '70's).5. WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE SAYING OR PHRASE? "Gee, your buttons are shiny" and "I don't know about that officer".6. WHAT KIND OF PLANS ARE IN THE FUTURE FOR MANIAC SPIDER TRASH? We plan to record Lollipop Monster Crunch in 1995. We also plan on playing some shows in New York; Atlanta, GA; and Florida this summer. We're still looking for that elusive record deal.7. ANY FINAL COMMENTS? The Music scene needs a hard, psycho rock n' roll enema. in the immortal words of Dee Snider, "Join the land of the living and stop being a dead piece of shit."
