I have been musically motivated and minded since the early 80s. My brother Steve Hillman was a great inspiration at the time as well as a great friend. He taught me how to play both electric and acoustic guitar, keyboards, music notation and how to basically use ones ear to its fullest extent - so I guess I owe a lot to him and his wife Linda for then and now, and he continues to critique my work and encourage me onwards.
The 80s for me was a big learning curve, and was a time to get to know myself - quite a hard time but that's what makes us who we are, doesn't it? I threw myself in the deep end and tried not to get sucked down the swirling dark void let alone manage to stay afloat, but I learnt a lot in those days ... about life ... about me ... how fortunate we are all to be here on this good Blue World.
I must say I also enjoyed the privilege of performing with Steve and Linda at two of their venues many moons ago, playing guitar and keyboard.
Albums: Earthlights 2004; Spaces 2004; Voyage 2007.
Please enjoy your own voyage, enjoy the music of life and, above all ... be good ... be well ... and be happy!
Please feel free to view the images. These are pictures of what also inspire me and please me, and I photographed many locally. The surreal images I melded together and created with the real ... I hope you enjoy the music also!
