Hey guys! just a quick note about me, in case you don’t want to read all the other junk I posted. Please check my blogs for life updates and more photos...that is the best way to learn about me. Also, I AM MARRIED!!!!!!! I get sort of frustrated when people hit on me without taking the time to read my profile, so in case you don’t make it down to the part where I talk about my husband, this should clarify! I have no problem making guy friends, but when they don’t take the time to actually try to get to know me, and just contact me based off my looks, it is frustrating. Also, I don't cheat on my hubby, thanks for asking. Anyway, read on if you want to know the good stuff!!!!! I always want to make new friends here and on xbox live, and look forward to talking to you!

My name is Meagan VanBurkleo (Meagan Blomquist for those who knew me in high school). I am a 21 year old student at the University of Minnesota, studying Graphic Design and Journalism and Mass Communications. My goal someday is to work in the video game industry, possibly with my dream magazine, Game Informer, or by doing work for Nintendo (I love their design style). My non-professional goals are to create art in any way possible. I used to think that I did not know what I wanted to do with my life until I started college. I look back now and I realize that I have always been in love with the aesthetic in life; I just needed school to show me what direction to take. I love painting, drawing, cartooning, scrapbooking, photography, writing and modeling. All I want in life is to create, inspire or commission art...

I did not realize until the last couple of years what a huge nerd I am. As I said, I love video games, I am a comic freak and I am becoming more and more obsessed with vampires and other crazy creatures. I dressed up as Wonder Woman for a comic convention, I want to save money to go to Japan, Comic Con and E3 more than anything, and I really want to start doing Cosplay. I have dressed up as Lara Croft more than once without a reason, and just ran around outside... I get way to excited whenever I see anything Final Fantasy related....(Cant wait for the FF DS!!!!). I also worked at Game Crazy just for the perks. I cried uncontrollably when the Dear Friends concert was cancelled in Minnesota. I love female game characters who are hot and kick ass, and never get pissed about the skimpy outfits they run around in. I figure its another defense mechanism, by distracting the enemies. Furthering my point, I have four cats: Donut, Church, Tex and Zelda. I also Have two birds: Caboose and Sheila, and now a dog as well: Kairi. Zelda is self explanatory, and the rest with the exception or Kairi are from the Red vs. Blue Halo spoof. Kairi is named after the character on Kingdom Hearts. There are some fish in there as well…I think the mean one is named Sarge…not sure about the rest. Overall, I am a nerd and I love it. Talk to me about video games and comics and you will see how excited I get. I have been told that I am not nerdy enough however, because I have not played Table Top RPG's, so I might have to get in to a little D&D to reach full nerdom .. just thought I would clear that up.

I have been married to my husband Nick since August 14th of 2005, and I am loving every minute of it. He was my high school sweetheart and we had been together since we meet at band camp in 2001. Time Flys! If any of you want to use me to contact him, feel free! I am sure he would love to talk to some old friends.

I have an amazing group of friends, and an even more amazing family, and I feel blessed for all of the opportunities that life has given me. My little brother passed away on December 14th of 2004, and it has been one of the hardest things I have ever endured. I honestly think the world, or at least my world, is a different place without Justin being his psycho, crazy, funny, silly, 16 year old self. I have come to realize that when you accept the things that you can not change, then you look for the good in every situation. While I would give anything to change what happened, I will never take for granted again my relationships with my family and friends. Life is too short to get upset about the silly things, and from now on I always try to look at the positive in life. I hope this is a lesson that others can take away without having to experience the loss.

I pursue modeling on the side and it is an amazing experience that lets me be things I could never be in reality!. I have been a fairy, and Egyptian queen, a harem girl, a vampire slayer and an ice queen... who could ask for more! It is a passion of mine, and I hope you can tell from my photos! For some reason it does not have its own category

Fatal Frame series, Resident Evil (especially 4) , Kingdom Hearts, Tomb Raider, All the Zelda games (but Ocarina of Time is my favorite, Minish Cap is turning out great as well!), Lemmings, Mario Kart, any Final Fantasy game (but 7 blows them all away), Drakengard, Guitar Hero, Taiko, DOA, Halo, Beyond Good and Evil, Sonic, Pac-Man, Crash Bandicoot, Ledgend of the Dragoon, Animal Crossing, Pokemon Snap (O-yeah, I went there), Rampage, Mario Party games, Donkey Konga, Baten Kaitos, Goldeneye, Katamari Damacy...lots of other stuff.

My hubby and I used to work at Game Crazy, so we have quite a collection of stuff. I need to get around to a ton of games that have been out forever, such as God of War, Fable, Jade Empire and P.O.P...I just need more time to game!

Comic Books:
The other Interests section that they are missing!

My Favorites are: Tomb Raider, Witchblade, Fathom, Necromancer, Soulfire, Soulfire: the dying of the light, Soulfire: Chaos Reign and Shrugged.

I sometimes pick up The Magdalena, Aphrodite IX, Darkness and other comics with great art. I am a sucker for a pretty face. I am reading Civil War right now, but I usually pick up my comics from Top Cow or Aspen.

My other interests include:

Drawing, modeling, paintball, Homestar Runner, Red vs. Blue, Rugby, Collecting lots of Tomb Raider Stuff for no apparent Reason, Graphic Design, watching an entire season of TV in one day...I want to learn how to learn how to box, but I think I need to pick between that and modeling...
