The Blind Hearts are a brand new band.
These young London hillbillies, all veterans of several signed acts, are seasoned festival & tour performers who’ve shared bills with the likes of Brakes, Foals, Nine Black Alps, Garth Hudson from The Band, Glenn Tilbrook from Squeeze, Danny & The Champions of the World, Findlay Brown, Dogs, Buck 65, Idlewild and many, many more.
The songs result from singer Andy Gyves regularly turning up at guitarist Dan Clark’s East London flat with tunes in his head and a whisky bottle in his hand.
With Dan contributing chords and 2 glasses, the two realised that between them they could assemble all the essential elements for songwriting.
Along with bass player Simon Julian and drummer Rob Biss, they consumed more whisky and recorded some demos in Dan’s front room. With the addition of The Great Guy Nottage on harmonies and guitar, the band was complete.
The results transplant Manchester to the Mississippi.

It’s early days yet, but with a firm offer of a publishing deal on the table already and summer festival dates being added all the time, the future looks bright...
