DJ MO FLAVA MUSIC

DJ Mo Flava also known as Monique was born in Brooklyn, New York. After moving from New York her family resided in Columbia, Maryland. Due to her dads job transferring her and her family were forced to move after living in Maryland for two years. Finally, they settled in Cleveland, Ohio where DJ Mo Flava has spent most of her years. Dont get it twisted just because she lives in Ohio, doesnt mean she has forgot about home. Mo Flava moved from New York at the age of three. Mo Flavas parents didnt think it was a good area for her and her older brother to grow up at. Mo Flava is always in the New York area holding shit down. She's either visiting the fam, coping mixtapes, or just roaming around in Brooklyn. I love Brooklyn thats my home, theres no place like it; when Im in Brooklyn I always gotta cop me a cheese cake at Juniors. As a kid Mo Flava watched her dad DJ and do house parties. At the time she had thoughts of becoming a DJ. I never wanted to be a DJ I wanted to be a writer and a professional basketball player. During that time there wasnt really a female DJ out there till later on. Once I heard about DJ Lazy K in the 90s I was like damn this girl got skills. Mo Flava says DJ Lazy K was the only female DJ I ever heard of at that time, besides Spinrella I dont think Salt and Peppers DJ Spinrella was doing mixtapes. Therefore, thats when Mo Flava found a female icon to look up to. So she decided to give djing a try. At the age of five she first touched down on the turntables. At five I was crazy ass kid I didnt know what I was thinking to be djing I completely sucked ass. Unfortunately, she realized she wasnt going anywhere with djing. In the mean time Mo Flava began to write short stories, and grew more love for basketball. As her love grew for basketball the more she wanted to become a professional basketball player. In fourth grade she played for her first little league team, called Jam Time Entertainment. Every Saturday she would look forward to playing her Basketball games. When she was ten the djing scene called her back again. Mo Flava started selling mixtapes in school. She would record songs from the radio on to a CD and them in cases to sell in school. Mo Flava has been hustlin for a long time and more years to come it doesnt stop there. Throughout middle school and high school Mo Flava continued to sell mixtapes. All I wanted was enough money to buy my baby blue Tims. The people kept coming to Mo Flava for mixtapes; she was making crazy money at a young age. I didnt think it would have a huge impact on my classmates, but it was all good cuz they were loving my mixtapes. Thats when she realized theres a possibility djing could be her profession or something she could be good at. Therefore, Mo Flava stuck to writing and basketball. In 9th grade she played basketball for North Olmsted High School. She played as a power forward, and played the game very well. Mo Flava received mad props playing basketball. When the team was in the fire she pulled them right out, and put more scores on the board. In 9th grade Mo Flava brought her team to the championship against Westlake and won. Unfortunately, people started hating on her even the coaches and especially the team players. 9th grade was mos def a good look for me with basketball, but there was too many people trying to bring me down and thats when rumors started. That didnt stop Mo Flava there in 10th grade she tried out for basketball again. Unfortunately, the coaches decided to cut her. Basically they didnt want me to shine, not to sound cocky, but I was the best player on the team. Cutting Mo Flava became more of a bigger issue; her family was very disappointed. The coaches told her they wanted her to play Junior Varsity and Varsity, but that never happened. They only said it to soup Mo Flava up. Furthermore, teachers and parents where shocked that she got cut. Parents and teachers began to ask the coaches questions. For example, how do you cut your best player, how do you expect to win without Monique? Rude comments where addressed to the coaches. It became a controversial issue, people were saying because she was the only black player they didnt want her to play. While others said that wasnt the case, its just shes too good to even play. The other players need time to catch up with Monique. When that happen my love basketball just went down hill. Two years later Mo Flava tried out for basketball again her senior year. Mo Flava busted her ass off to prove she deserved to be on the team. After tryouts was over the coach pulled her into the office. The coach told her he didnt have enough jerseys and she didnt make the team. He also told her she was more of a Street Baller. After the second cut I felt becoming a professional basketball player was never going to happen. Therefore, thats when she realized she has to find what other talents she may have. Mo Flava graduated from North Olmsted High School in 2005. After high school she had plans to go to college to become a journalist and radio broadcaster. Which she currently is working on now. Mo Flava is a college student pursing her dreams. Shes most definitely doing well in school with the G.P.A. of 3.3 and higher. Not only is she a colleague shes also a DJ. I decided to become a DJ officially as of now, because I love music so much, I want to have the ear of the streets; and be able to tell people whats hot and whats not. She certainly has the ear to the streets, and the streets love her. Mo Flava is well respected in her town. Shes one of the newest members of African Mafia/ African Mafia Mixtapes. Mo Flava has teamed up with the boss of African Mafia who is Mazi O. She is reppin the squad to the fullest. Mo Flava is on the grind this summer working on six mixtapes at once, that girl stay busy. Her first mixtape drops this summer, so be looking out for the for sure. Street Hustlaz Vol. 1. Features artist like Juelz Santana, Remy Ma, T.I., Tony Ganja, Jade Foxx and many more. This is my first mixtape Street Hustlaz Vol. 1 so I wanted it to be strictly for my peoples in the streets, this mixtape defines the hustlaz within the artist; who are grindin to the fullest errryday. Mo Flava has plenty of mixtapes on the way so be sure to go cop those tapes. Mo Flava is definitely grindin hard this summer and she will continue to grind everyday.
