About Me

Everybody thinks my name is Johnny, but it's not..ask around someone will tell you what it really is. I left the " ethnicity" part of the basic info blank because there wasn't a label that read " Spanish/French/Mexican/Coon-Ass/Irish/Indian( feather, not dot)." There's a few more in there, but these are predominant. I was born in Tampa, FL, ( GO BUCS), but I've lived in L.A. since I was 1, ( GO SAINTS ). I've been a musician most of my life. Mainly, I play bass. I screw around on guitar when I'm writing, but in NO way consider myself a "guitar player". I was one of the founding members of a band called "Stompin' Ground", along with Shannon Cobb, (currently with Dallas based Bullitt)Onguitar was Mike Lofton, and drums Johnny Culmone. We played all across the south, from Texas to Florida. We had a C.D. called "Two Weeks" that was nominated for " Best Rock Album of the Year" by Tambalaya Magazine. My latest band, Insanetuary, broke up recently. We had some local success, including a couple of House of Blues gigs. I'm currently with Head Drone, based out of Lafayette, La. My Interests

MUSIC... I'm either listening, writing, playing, or thinking about it allways. I can't stand rap, mainly because I don't consider sampling someones elses shit as being creative. Don't like much "new" country either. I can dig Willie and Waylon and Merle and Johnny Cash. I'm mainly a ROCK DUDE. Anything HEAVY such as, but not limited to- Corrosion of Conformity, Black Label Society, Iron Maiden...you get the drift. More later...

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet as many "cool people" as possible. NO WHINERS!! I can't stand listening to people freakin' cry about their lives. I understand people go through some hard times and need support...that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the ones who aren't happy unless they're constantly in the middle of some kind of self- made drama. Believe me, I've had my share. Probably enough for 2 lifetimes. Same thing...too much to list. Anything that doesn't bore me. Whether it's a comedy, drama, action flick, whatever.
