Like their precedent album, (‘Social Leper’s Club’) ‘Escape Plan Foiled’ is a 11-song affair recorded by (ex-Albini co-hort) Lionel Darenne and mastered by J. Golden. Originally formed in 1999, Warehouse are based around French drummer Hervé Marché & Welsh ‘singer’/guitarist, David K. Alderman. The album opener ‘Parasite’ is already available on 12” vinyl and has been receiving decent reviews. Other stand out tracks on the album include: the soundtrack-like instrumental, ‘The Reluctant Kamikaze’, a cover of the obscure Texan punk band Really Red’s ‘Teenage Fuck Up’ and there’s also a guest-vocal appearance of American singer, Jenn Solheim, a veteran of the Chicago scene, on the track ‘Take Me Black Hole’… For the 'difficult' second album, ‘Escape Plan Foiled’ [PIAS] rises above it’s predecessor; it twists and turns, rocks and rolls…don’t lump them in with this new wave of rock or the recent fad of underground ‘noise’ bands. Playing with such diverse bands as: Queens Of The Stone Age, Slint, Zone Libre and Zenzile has exposed Warehouse to different audiences...something they'll continue to do. Now as a new improved 4-man line-up the band marches on...
