Sisiphus is truly happy...

About Me

Drummer, I’ve studied with teacher Enrico Lucchini. Through the years I’ve had the chance to meet wonderful musicians and extraordinary men who contributed to make me understand always more about jazz: I cannot forget Francesco Sotgiu, Emanuele Cisi, Bebo Ferra, Massimo Manzi, Antonio Zambrini, Massimo Colombo, Stefano Senni, Renato Chicco, Nicola Muresu, Marco DI Battista and Cristiano Calcagnile among others. I started to attend the Tirano Jazz Workshops in 1996 where I studied with Victor Lewis and Gary Chaffee and got in touch with people like Jerry Bergonzi, Joe Diorio, Steve La Spina, Dave Santoro, Mick Goodrick, Hal Crook, Bobby Watson and Allan Chase, who offered me a scholarship for the New England Conservatory. Today I play the SS9 trio with guitarist Giuseppe Tontodonati and bassist Gianluca Alberti. You can hear in this space something about it…
