I Made a promise on the grave of my parents to rid Gotham City of the evil that took their lives. By day, I am Bruce Wayne, billionare philanthrapist. At night, criminals, a cowardly and supersticious lot, call me...BATMAN.
My parents' death changed me forever. I became cold, thriving on justice. My idea of justice, however, was actually revenge. I went off to study the criminally insane, to find a way to control the rage inside of me. I trained day in and day out to become a symbol...one which evil would fear...one that would bring justice upon Gotham. I paved way for a Nightwing, 3 Robins, 2 Batgirls, a Huntress and an Oracle... with the help of these heroes, i have proved that Gotham city is not beyond saving. "It's not who I am underneath, but what I do, that defines me."
