The energy that the Wireflys put out is positively charged electric, eclectic and exciting. Their music will move your body and reach into your soul it is music for everyone - full of beautiful vocals, stark strong drums and guitars that resonate perfectly with the ear.
Hailing from Newcastle, the Wireflys have recently faced reinvention with name and line-up changes of late but these changes has forced the band to stand together, facing trouble head-on and coming out better for it on the other side. They are now more determined than ever to focus on their sound, and their live show, and they refuse to let any adversity stand in their way.
The Wireflys layer melodic sounds over heart-pumping rock, creating music that can sooth the soul, or wake it right up shaking it to the core. The band has just recorded their debut EP, and it is going to be one well worth getting your hands onto, as the critics are already noting:

Frontman and bass player Chris Tester is joined by ex-Looks guitarist Justin Holland, with drummer Ben Briscoe rounding out the line-up, and pulling the whole band tighter than an over-sized mosh pit. The band is now armed with all the right tools to construct a massive live show & are ready to now show you why they deserve your eyes and ears. Career highlights thus far include shows with Radio Birdman, Expatriate, Bertie Blackman and Wolfmother, but this is only the start of more to come
