About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor

Huck started life in the winter of 2004 as an idea and a few songs in Matt Watson's head and a few bass lines in Glyn Bodens fingers. Over the next few months they was joined by Giles on guitar. A few local gigs in Norwich happened and the reaction was good. From July 2005 to July 2006 Scott Field played drums and completed the line-up. Matt and Giles continued to write songs during the course of 2005/06 and are still adding to a really strong set of tunes. 2006 was spent on coaches, in cars, in pubs and at festivals bringing huck music to the masses. They even 'dug the boys from huck' in London, where they will be repeating the experience very soon. The band is almost gaining a Spinal Tapian type reputation for carelessness with drummers! We are now on our third, Al Richardson, former skin tapper with Norwich’s legendary The Mandalores ! In order not to lose this one we have had him micro-chipped at the vets and we store him in a lovely large cotton wool lined matchbox that we keep in a drawer.People ask us what huck sounds like and the description we have come up with is, imagine putting REM, Crowded House, The Wonderstuff and The Clash in a blender and the resulting musical smoothie is huck.Early '07 sees huck writing, rehearsing and hopefully recording in spring/summertime. Gigs are lined up for 07, keep checking back for details!!Hey Why not check out the Huck group page... Also check us out at The Home of Norwich Music and if you like what you hear please go vote for us at the NME New Music page
