At the end of summer 2007, Julia (drums) and Martijn (guitar) started playing together. The goal was to start a new band. Searching for their own identity, they tried different band names and even more styles. They started of with a mix of old American and British punk. When this wasn't sufficient, a switch was made to Noise Rock, influenced most by the Pixies.
To be completely honest, at the start the band was flying all over the place searching for the right sound. This changed when Jorn (bass and vocals) joined the band. After having various bass players for audition, Jorn was the man to complete the band. After jamming for only two weeks, Jorn also showed some singing talent. Finally!
The Know it Alls were born!
In 2008 a start was made with writing own songs. The style that they found and still fits the sound of the band is Contemporary (Indie) Rock. After many jamming sessions the band dared to climb the stage. May 10 2008 the Know it Alls had their first gig as support act for the Sheep. Soon after that, other gigs followed in Strijen and Limmen.
In June 2008 the Know it Alls recorded their first songs. At the Voodoovox studio in Haarlem 4 tracks were recorded which landed onto the Demo EP. All elements were recorded at the same time to make sure that their sound was documented exactly the way it is. Also, during the recording session a video clip was shot for the song Got me Dancing, which will be online somewhere in the middle of august.
Now, with an EP in the pocket, the Know it Alls are ready to conquer the stages of Holland and the rest of the world. They had more gigs in Utrecht and the 3FM youth ambassadors election for Save the Children in Bilthoven.
