About Me
Live to Die was formed in the fall of 2005. Blending metal with an experimental edge, the five members create a powerful sound that hits listeners directly between the eyes leaving you to wanting more. With a very heartfelt lyrical edge, Live to Die reaches out to the world with a passion everyone can feed off of.
Once all five members had agreed to peruse their musical dreams with one another, a name was needed. The way their lives had panned out thus far through the trials and tribulations, they knew one thing was certain; everyone will pass on from this world. Live to Die, for the members, portrays a meaning of how they live and write music, We live for today and the things life may bring us, because tomorrow is not a guarantee.
In April of 2007 Live to Die parted ways with founding vocalist Josh Williams due to reasons that shall not be discussed outside of the band. With a demo in the works, and previously booked shows coming up, Live to Die held try-outs in search for a new vocalist. Although the try-outs went well, and much talent was noticed, there was a specific sound Live to Die was looking for and still had not found. Fortunately, most of the shows that had been booked were canceled by the venues for various reasons. Thus, giving the band more time to search for their new vocalist. One show that was not to be canceled by the venue, nor the band, was a four band bill (including Live to Die) at a local bar called Krug's Place. For this show, a good friend of the band agreed to fill-in for the show, Greg of Scars of Your Demise. This show in particular caught the eye of Doug Gibson of Metalunderground.com and Live to Die received their first major review (which can be found here !). Though the show was a success, the band was still lacking a vocalist. So from there try-outs were open yet again. The first and only try-out from that point on was Bryan Neil (Benemortasia/ex-A False Hope). After the try-out was finished the band talked amongst themselves and decided he was the man for the job. Once again, the band is working hard and ready to do what they do best, rock the fuck out.
Live to Die will surly leave an impression in your minds eye, your heart, and everything that you are.
