About Me

I have a lot of different laughs. Old-man-dry-heaving laugh. Evil cackle. Hyena laugh. A snicker. A look-at-me-I'm-laughing-loudly laugh. A whimpering whisper of a laugh. A silent laugh. The list goes on...sometimes I don't laugh at all but just stare, judging.
I like books. bars. boys. All the Penns (sean, michael, chris & robin). I like all things old. One could say, I'm a nostalgic person.
I don't gossip. I don't read tabloids or blogs. I say things to people's faces. My friends nicknamed me Frank...as in, 'frankly...'
I have a stuffed white lion cub named Bear. He travels. He gets washed with my white laundry. When he looks uncomfortable on my bed, I have to fix him, I can't help it.
My closet is coordinated by color, category, sleeve & hem length, and occasion. My DVDs are alphabetized. My cupboards are by glass height. Some people call this OCD. I call it Virgo. My mom calls it autistic, but she thinks everyone's autistic.
I do things with clothes to make people look cooler than they are, but like themselves at the same time. I get paid for this.
I write. I wrote. Sometimes I still do. I thought it was all I would ever do.
I'm a workaholic. When I don't work, I feel...out of place.
But secretly, I just wanna have a bustling household with 6 kids and a happy husband, kids running up and down the stairs and dinner on the table at 8 every night.
For now, I have stairs.
God bless Vonnegut

My Interests

Trying to stay put.

I'd like to meet:

"All I wanted to do was hang out with you. I wasn't looking for a carousel ride."--Bailey Fisher.

Music:

Having a real J Jackson moment...

Also...Richie Hell when I'm dancing around in my underwear. Ol' Louis in the shower. Johnny Thunder if I'm feeling nostalgic. Donovan to fall asleep to, Kinks to wake up to. Replacements if I'm having a Cameron Crowe moment. Trex, Joan Baez, Otis, Chet, The Jam, the Carter fam. Squeeze to drive around in the car. Neil Young if it's a rainy day, Cat Stevens if it's a sunny day, Joe Strummer any day. Dylan always and forever...and a whole lot of blues: Fats Waller, Mildred Bailey, Mississippi John, Bessie & Billie...and more oldies & Christmas music than I oughta own up to.

Movies:

Everything Hal Ashby. Anything with Donald Sutherland or Elliot Gould, preferably both. I wish I was Woody Allen and Tim Burton would adopt me. Early Winona. The Last Waltz. Chaplin, Lynch, Altman, Scorcese, and Oliver Stone. Indian Runner, Reds, Casino, Goodfellas, JFK, Wall Street, Apocalypse Now--love those Sheens. Early John Cusack & anything with an Eric Stoltz cameo. True Romance, Big Wednesday, Diner, Meet Me in St Louis. I can recite Reality Bites from start to finish. Foxes, Beetlejuice, Gleaming the Cube, Legend of Billie Jean, Heathers, Edward Scissorhands, Little Darlings, Paper Moon. Last Tango in Paris for the clothes. Mean Streets, um, also for the clothes. Everything Sean Penn touches turns to gold.Also...

Television:

Whatever I can catch a marathon of on JetBlue.

Books:

I used to come home early from bars to read Crime & Punishment. Biggest crush ever on Raskolnikov. Early on my pops got me into Salinger, Fitzgerald, Faulkner, Hemingway, Graham Greene. Mom got me into the power ballad books: Count of Monte Cristo, Gone With the Wind, Alcott, all the Austens. On my own I found Bradbury, Dostoevsky, Wilde, Vonnegut and Bukowski (his 'Last Night..' poems not his silly novels). Anais Nin. Parker. Twain of course. Orson Scott and Robert Anton Wilson. I love them all. I'll read anything with Kilgore Trout or a member of the Glass family. And whatever we're reading in book club.

Book club after too much wine...

Heroes:

I cried when Ed Bradley died.
And let's not forget...

Kurt V

Good ole' Sal Paradise

Crazy Noni...

Patti & Lou, now that's romance...
