Lulu : When I heard @ Lulu , I knew we had 2 help her. She had a knife wound on her neck & rope burns on her wrists from being tied up in the public orphanage which had "saved her" from her previous hell. Before this, she had been living outside her cardboard shack, starved, raped, beaten, abused in every way imaginable, burned, broken, and only ate by scavenging for food in the woods when her "father" had passed out ~

Lulu will forever have a place in my heart. She became my little angel over a 3 year period. This picture shows her transformation from "Forgotten Child" to Beautiful little princess Every Tuesday, all the girls in 3 neighborhoods wore their hair in buns 2 school & on Thursday their hair hung in braids (they demanded that I wear my hair the SAME way on these days) So they all could be "Little Amandas !!" HOW CUTE!! ~

This pic is so special 2 me bc Lulu's innocence, beauty, connection to the other children (demonstrated by :the buns), and mayan pride shine. I have tears in my eyes trying 2 describe what it was like watching this AMAZING child transform from "jungle animal" to a laughing, smiling, loving, strong, VIBRANT beautiful little 12 year old girl~
