I started playing guitar in 1998. After I got good at playing chords, I started writing songs really from the very beginning. I had always wanted to record but I just didn't have enough resources as well as being quite reticent about playing my music in the beginning. After several years of playing and writing I decided to get serious about recording. I recorded 2 songs in a studio that I will not mention. Although they are a very reputable studio, it was challenging for them to meet my needs and I felt a little intimidated going there as a solo artist. Last year I contacted 3 studios simultaniously to compare rates and see if they could work with me and my project. Needless to say 2 of the 3 did not even return my calls. THANK GOD! Gary Loizzo from Pumpkin Studios in Orland Park had called me back and welcomed me and my project. One week later I recorded my first song. After my experience at Pumpkin Studios, I decided this is where I will complete my project as well as any future projects. Once my album is complete in the next 2 to 3 months, I plan on seeking other musicians who are interested in playing out with me and doing shows locally for now. :)
