I am the youngest of 6 children, all my brothers and sisters are older than I by several years. So growing up I had the best of both worlds a big family & only child as my brothers and sisters were on their own. I enjoy spending time with my great-nieces and nephews. I am passionate about finding a cure for Juvenile Diabetes. My niece Dani was diagnosed at age 3 so I volunteer for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help find the cure. Also, two of my sisters are Type 1 Diabetics. I have a new hobby, ok it isn't my hobby. My great-nephews Scott & Jay play Little League baseball. What started out as being a scorekeeper last year evolved into my being on the board of the little league. I ask you, how does a woman with no children become a member of the board? Because I showed I cared about the kids and not just my own. More parents and families need to get involved. Even if you only have an hour a month to volunteer do it, your kids may not thank you now, but I bet they thank you later!
