My Interests

I spend a lot of my time restoring my classic cars and motorcycles, which is in direct contrast to the fact that I'm really interested in the arts (musical, visual, and performing). I used to be a rock star, and some people still think I am.

Music:

Currently? Neko Case,Mogwai,The Dresden Dolls,The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and so on. All time favorites? The list could be endless, everything from Ravel to Dolly Parton, Dean Martin to Tangerine Dream. However, if you're sipping coffee in front of an Apple laptop at some trendy coffeehouse, or are fed your music by the likes of Clear Channel, I probably won't like your playlist.

Movies:

Circle of Friends, Highlander, and the Beatles' Help! are my all time 3 favorites. I am also endeavouring to amass the greatest collection of car chase scenes known to man.

Television:

Don't watch a lot, but Freaks and Geeks was my favorite a few years ago, CSI usually catches me if I'm flipping channels, and Robot Chicken is hilarious.

Books:

I'm a fan of Neal Stephenson, Stephen R. Donaldson, and Neil Gaiman, so evidently any author with "Stephen" or "Neal/Neil" in their name gets my attention (with the exception of that King guy) . If you asked for a recommendation, I'd say "The Memory of Running" by Ron McLarty.

Heroes:

Yutaka Katayama Richard Bong
