About Me

~I'm a left handed-dyslexic-half-breed (Tsalagi), singer, writer, Doula, make-up gal, wife, organic, holistic, homeschooling, fost/adopt MAMA.
~Diva with a heart, crazy loyal to my friends, love my family. They are all very important to me.
~Music, music, music. I love to listen to it, play it, write it and sing it.
~Holistic is the way to go. Natural is the way to live.
I love to learn and go to school (in various forms) when I can. I learn what I want and then I move on. . . .school will always be there. My babies will not always be young.

I am a liberal republican. No, really. (Marry who ya' want, live the way you want ta' live, but don't raise my taxes, support the military, let me have gun if I'm so inclined but keep the government out of my house and body.) NEWS FLASH!!! The government is there to protect you. Not to coddle you and give you hand outs. Nor, is it there to monitor you or listen to your phone calls or read your email or crawl up your butt or hold your hand in church. That's yo'Mama's job!

I love to watch my daughter learn. I live to hear her laugh, especially at me. I swell with pride when she questions me or tells me no. I don't know what I ever did to get so lucky to have such a cool fuckin' kid.
******I am lucky to have found a husband who supports me being myself. He doesn't drink or beat me or anything! He even at times...LISTENS to what I'm fucking saying! Praise Gebus! It's a miracle!******

I have known my husband since our sophmore and junior year's of highschool (respectively) and have been each others best friend since forever. He doesn't even mind that I married some other dumbass.....ooops, eh-HEM, DUDE, before marrying him. He works his ass off so I can stay home and raise children properly. He supports my IQ and my heart. I haven't figured out which is bigger his heart or his. . . . well, let's just say, we lub him very very much. Whutta guy!!!

Your Brain's Pattern
You have a dreamy mind, full of fancy and fantasy.
You have the ability to stay forever entertained with your thoughts.
People may say you're hard to read, but that's because you're so internally focused.
But when you do share what you're thinking, people are impressed with your imagination. What Pattern Is Your Brain?
I love helping women give birth (that's that Doula thing). It's seems less altruistic these days and more self serving. If only because I feel so good afterwards. I do births for free (cause any rich chick who could pay me I would probably not want to work for). A Doula's job is to make sure women know the whole birth is about THEM. Not the doctor, not their husband, not their cousin's-sister's-friend's-neighbor's-uncle, who has some stupid opinion of what someone else's labor and delivery is supposed to be like......Until that baby comes out, it's ALL about HER! ~I am there for the mother to make sure she has the support to have the birth experience SHE wants...and then when I go home (sometimes 2 days later) I get to feel really really good about myself. I am going to start working with birth and adoptive mothers and am excited about helping out in an area I feel so passionate about. Lucky fuckin' me!
Oh, and I've been known to cuss......just a little. ; )

My Interests

My main interest is my daughter & every creative-freaky-funny thing she does. She's a wonder unto herself. A marvelous creature that I am privileged enough to nurture and teach. Well, try to teach, she teaches me something new about myself and the world around me every day.

Other than that....my family, friends, music, Pow-wow's/Stomp Dances, tattoo's, laughing, spoken word, music, holistic treatments/natural health practices, skin care/make-up, music, fetal development, history, WWII, Tudor history, French, French history (mainly 15th-early 20th centuries), traditional NDN stories, NDN art, sociology, music, people who affected my interests throughout history.....music, flix, music, movies, music, film, and yes, more music.....writing down every weird thing I see or that pops into my head. -Oh, and occasionally I find myself enjoying the visceral pleasure of verbally bitch slapping someone upside the head.msprm name="wmode" value="t

I'd like to meet:

On myspace?
Other hip mama's, friends of friend's, other Indn's (there are almost none out here, guess that whole Indian "relocation/integration" thing didn't work out too well here in the ol' Bay Area, eh?), people interested and educated (self or formally) in natural or holistic living/health practices, bluegrass and jazz mucisians to collaborate with.

So, who would I really like to meet? Who's brain would I like to pick? Who's soul would I like to absorb?
My Great-great and my Great Grandfather's, my Great Aunt, Dr. Sears, my 5 song/stage Divas-Billy Holiday, Peggy Lee, Sarah Vaughn, Rosemary Clooney, Josephine Baker (best adoptive Mom EVER), my fav. screen goddesses-Julie Newmar, Cyd Cherisse and Jane Russell (also another kick-ass adoptive mother).
