Once apon a time a young chap called Jimi realised as well as playing his guitar he also really liked making noises with his mouth so went on a musical journey to explore the realms of human beatboxing, on this journey he found using a loop pedal and playing around with effects were really fun. Because on this journey he managed to find lots of other musical exploits to occupy his time such as playing in a great garage rock band called Joe Parker And The Power , helping to set up and run a co-operative record label called Sotones and DJing about the place quite a bit, he also found improvising a lot worked well for him (basically making it up as he went along), also ensuring every show he did on the way was a little bit different.
Along his travels, beatboxing gave Jimi some really great times such as headlining a show in Estonia, playing in Paris amongst other places with Me One , getting to perform with DJ Skully (03 world DMC champ) and supporting artists such as Infinite Livez, Tim Exile and Mike Realm.
Because of the other things he is involved in, Jimi is having a bit of a rest but will be missioning off again very soon, hopefully armed with some great recordings so watch this space for updates. whilst he's doing that you can also listen his vocal scratching with Me One LIVE in Paris on his page!

"The beatboxing from local man Jimi ray was extremely impressive, entertaining and original. With clever use of a loop pedal he was able to lay down a beat and then layer it up by improvising over the top. He was on for about 20mins and kept his set varied and exciting."
