Stripline is the product of many different influences culminating into one band. All of the members come from different walks of life and together they create the music of the times. We are currently writing new material and are in the studio with Jason Shavey at Synergy Productions. We have posted a little taste of what is to come with the acoustic version of "Finding My Way".
Sean Walker - Vocals
Sean has been a student at "TVS" (The Vocalist Studio) for some time and is one of the "Pillar Elite". Owned and operated by Robert Lunte, "Maestro" David Kyle's (Layne Staley, Ann Wilson, Geoff Tate and countless more) protégé for 12 years it is the premier Rock Vocal coaching facility in the world. Sean is currently the front man for Seattle based Hard Rock band Stripline. The brotherhood and chemistry he has found in his fellow SL members is unparalleled.
Endorsements from TC Helicon, Tom McDonald Guitars, Cockstar Clothing Dalinkwent Riders and TVS are just the start of the professional and entrepreneurial endeavors that Sean has achieved. Sean has had the pleasure of playing and working with some of the best people in the business including, Jason Lucas (Hasson Chopper, Muldune, Skinny Mulligan, Richard Four), Robert Lunte (The Vocalist Studio), Roger Fisher (Heart), Goldy McJohn (Steppenwolf), Rich Henry (Peace and Silence, Black Ant Army), Jason Shavey (Synergy Productions, Out from Underneath) and is grateful to all of them for the time spend and knowledge shared.
Jesse Smith - Drums
Jesse was first bitten by the drum bug after watching Jeff Porcaro of Toto play 5 nights in a row. On his 9th birthday he was given drum lessons by his aunt, which he eventually quit because he "wanted to play drums not a rubber pad". By the age of 17, he was deep into the drum world. His first band, 7th Thunder, played numerous events around the island of Kauai in Hawaii. At the age of 20, Jesse moved to Seattle and immersed himself in the booming music scene. A member of many Seattle bands such as 7th Stranger, Indika, Anthony Lee, Transfer of Souls, Bold Face Lie, Underride and most notably Saqqara, he opened many national act shows. While in Saqqara he accumulated endorsements with major drum manufacturers such as Aquarian Drumheads, Slug Percussion Products, Sabian Cymbals and Kittools Sticks. Jesse still proudly endorses Aquarian (heads), Slug (bass drum pads and beaters) and Kingfield Wood (formerly Kittoools) (drum sticks)..
Currently, Jesse plays his trade on Ludwig Maple Classic drums, Dunnett, Tempus, Ludwig, Emerald and J. James Custom snares, Paiste Cymbals, DW and Pearl hardware and Sonor Pedals.
Craig Beardsley - Bass
Craig started playing acoustic guitar at the age of 10 in his home town of Ventura, CA but soon lost interest. At the age of 17 Craig bought a copy of a Stratocaster for $25 and his passion for music was renewed. Craig played in several bands in the scene for many years. Playing rhythm/lead guitar and bass in some cases earned Craig a reputation as a true musician. After his move to Washington, Craig found his calling as the bassist in Stripline and the rest as we say is history.
Marcus Cushway - Guitar
Marcus first picked up a guitar at the age of 14 while living in Oak harbor, WA. His neighbors had a jam space at their house and started to teach him how to play along to his favorite bands like Black Sabbath and Motley Crue. He began to hone his skills and in 1991 moved to Seattle and joined local bands Vision House and Dead Pilot. After the time in those bands were over Marcus focused on another passion of his, Freestyle Motocross. Until a tragic accident prevented him from riding competitively any longer. Marcus returned his attention to the guitar and by a chance meeting with Craig, started the seed of what is now Stripline.
