We have been supporting our studio album recorded with producer Scott Olson (Deftones, Alice In Chains, Limp Bizkit, Dredge, etc.) The CD Proximity Fuse has been released and available now! The track 'Break You Off' helped Temperedcast finish in the top three bands for the BJ Shea Morning Experience's American Idiot. The contest on KISW 99.9 involved what they considered the best local talent in Seattle, and has given Temperedcast some huge exposure. Temperedcast is an original heavy melodic rock band, defined by guitar-riff-driven grooves and powerful vocals. They have a modern metal feel and are becoming known in the Seattle scene for their tight musicianship and onstage chemistry.
Guitarist Kris Tonnessen, drummer Kelly Murphy and bassist Nick Sundesten began playing music together in 2001. In late 2003, with numerous shows and recording experience under their belt, they began their search for a new lead singer. Through many recommendations from fellow musicians, Temperedcast invited vocalist Calvin Muma to a practice session, and the missing piece to the puzzle was found. They clicked as musicians and friends, and started playing shows in early 2004. Temperedcast played as a 4 piece band until July 2006 when they met Josh Perry, who signed on as the 2nd guitar player. Now with an even bigger live sound, and manager Scott Moorhouse behind them, Temperedcast has been touring regionally and building a fan base throughout the northwest.
Temperedcast has shared the stage with Puddle of Mudd. Helmet, Three Days Grace, Jerry Cantrell's Cardboard Vampyres, Powerman 5000, Drowning Pool, Diecast, Nonpoint, Earshot, etc. They have also been involved in numerous extreme sports videos and television, helping them to gain exposure across the country. Blue Torch TV, ESPN2 X Games, Ryan Capes My Way to the Record, Propaganda, Slednecks 2 & 3 and many others have used Temperedcast for their soundtrack.
