About Me

Day of Peace is a band that was created in the winter cold of November 2007. The band consists currently of three members; Scott Jones (Guitar), Pete Martin (Bass), and Cody Walbaum (Drums). The three of us have played before in larger bands together, however this time we decided to stay with just the three of us. We all had our dreams with music however we all knew that it wasnâ€™t all going to be done exactly like our own vision but more as the groups vision.
The beauty of this band was that we would only do this new project if it was agreed upon that we all had to agree with what songs are being played and how they are to be created both musically and lyrically. We all agreed on making music that would lift peopleâ€™s spirits and make them feel full of positive energy while listening. We all like to rock and we all wanted to play new material.
We started out creating the song "Shine Again" which seems to be a favorite among most people who listen to our music for its structure and style. We then created 9 more songs with "Together" and "Get Along" being more signature songs to Day of Peace. We decided to name our first album "Whatâ€™s Real" since we all felt that the meaning of that song hits deepest with the Day of Peace band. The album release has still yet to be announced as we fine tune our newest songs and get feedback from fans that have supported our group.
At this time we have 10 original songs tight that rock and 3 on the back burner. We will use the first 10 as the first album "Whatâ€™s Realâ€ The next 10 songs will be the next album as we shoot for creating 3 albums of 10 before the end of this year. We expect to at least have one more album ready by the end of summer. It is now going on 5 months this band has been working together to produce music that we feel sends a positive uplifting message while you party time have fun and rock! Although we are new we have all played before and are getting ready to move into bigger shows as we can find the opportunities. Like all musicians that put the time into playing live shows we love to play and want to be heard. If you enjoy good rock with changes that fit the grooves check us out.
