The band began to take form in summer of 2005 when drummer Mangan met up with the brilliant guitarplayer Janusz at a wedding for a common friend. They had been playing together in another band many years ago and now both wanted to get a new grip and do something with all the heavy thoughts they had in mind.Together with bassplayer Janne, who had played together with Janusz for many years, the music slowly began to take form. Soon the band felt that they needed one more guitarplayer.Mangan called his very good friend Tias, which he quite recently had played with in the band" Antarctica", and knew the fabulous capacity of that man. At the time Tias was involved in a metal cover project called "Hair Of The Dog", but thought that it could be great to play with the band.When almost a year had passed Janne had to leave the band due to different reasons.Tias friend from "Hair Of The Dog", Nilo, was the man to join in. His cool style and his capacity to learn quick made everyone feel that he was the man for the job.The band kept on rehearsing and producing more material, but the hardest thing was yet to come; to find a singer that would make the band complete. The demands were really tough: good experience, a voice with a wide register, ideas to make the band go forward, and so on.Magnus, the former singer of the band "Renegade", turned out to be the perfect singer for Hellspray with his great attitude and wonderful voice.The band was complete and have released their first seven song demo CD called "Full Moon In Plainfield".Stay with us, there..s more to come!
