Born in the 1900's, Rick Charming grew up playing legit blues, jazz and rock on the saxophone . He spent the first 12 years of his life playing professionally around the globe with very famous musicians in front of ridiculously huge crowds . Once he found his way to a piano , however, he was finally able to open his big silly mouth and audiences started noticing that it wasn't traditional songs of love he was crooning.
Rick spent about 5 years writing original comedy music and stirring up emotions at coffee shop open mics around metro Detroit. He released three action-packed albums of music designed to make your jaw "hit the floor."
Dueling Pianos
At somepoint in 2007 , Rick was contacted by an agent and asked if he'd ever considered working in the dueling piano field. Rick had seen the dueling piano shows many time in the past but never really considered he'd be a good enough candidate to pull it off. After much internal confusion, Rick hung his saxophone up for awhile and began studying the art of Dueling Pianos and spent the entire of year of 2007 adding songs to his repetoire. Today he plays dueling piano bars around the country and his goal is to someday be a complete interactive human jukebox .
