About Me

So who is this guy with the sampler strapped to his chest and the microphone bulging out of his forearm?
sensehertz was originally a radio personality I created a few years back that morphed into a performance art piece and improvised recording pseudonym. Recently I tried to discontinue this musical identity to open up some story ideas I've been piecing together for a comic book character with the same design premise.
Burying the name has been a completely unsuccessful undertaking as I've come to realize that there's just too many people out there who love sensehertz! The 'sampling suit' is fully functional, so it's a spectacle that's pretty hard to dismiss. The whole idea seems to have taken on a life of it's own.
Apart from this little novelty, there's been music festival appearances, immersive sound environments, regular DJ performances, tonnes of undocumented live shows, and obscene amounts of recorded material.
The four pieces which have been showcased here for a little while now were all originally excerpts taken from the sensehertz radio shows.
All of the many other improvised excerpts will continue to surface slowly but surely, soon to be made available through Under See Rec, an open forum recording collective which will be releasing a fantastic compilation of eclectically soothing sounds come February.
www.underseerec.com will be up and running soon with more details.

The Healing Round

I've come to realize that sensehertz will out-live me, so I've decided to start a new 'identity'. Whereas the mentality behind the sensehertz project was entirely based upon the concept of SIMM (Simul...
