Influences: In 1984, I will never forget the day I heard a song that would ever change my life. On that day I knew my purpose in this world and what I must become. The song titled "reckless" was full of back and forth cueing (scratching) and many samples of all ranges. This song was way before it's time and was featured in the motion picture movie BREAKIN'. The man that produced it was DJ Chris "the Glove" Taylor and phenomenal lyrics by Ice-T. This was the sound that inspired my destiny to become a disk jockey and artist. Chris "the Glove" Taylor is my icon in the dark range of early electro sound that still inspires what I play 'til this day and age. If you listen to the lyrics in this song then you may understand what underground is and was. Other hands down to is the late and great inventor of back and forth cueing, other known as scratchmaster Jam Master J of the legendary RUN DMC. Last but not least, the soul inventor of house music himself, Mr. Larry Levan. I would definately hold these three pioneers accountable for my exsistance and placement in sound today.
