ALAN BRAXE Real Name: Alain Quême Profile: Alain Quême first jumped on to the scene with "Vertigo", released under Thomas Bangalter’s label Roulé. His alias (Alan Braxe) is an homage to his home town in France. Along with Thomas Bangalter and Benjamin Diamond, Alain produced the biggest dance track in electronic music’s history. Stardust’s "Music Sounds Better with You" was an instant hit, and they made a music video to go along with it. If you watched music networks at all in 1998 or 1999, you would have seen it several times a week. He is the cousin of DJ Falcon (Stephane Quême) and Quartet (Delphine Quême).TOGETHER Real Name: Stéphane Quême & Thomas Bangalter Members: DJ Falcon, Thomas BangalterSTARDUST Stardust was a one-time musical collaborative effort consisting of producers Thomas Bangalter, Alan Braxe and vocalist Benjamin Diamond. The short-lived group released the immensely popular club track titled "Music Sounds Better with You" in June 1998. The song, which is based around a sample from "Fate" by Chaka Khan, was an instant smash, and many have dubbed it the greatest house song of the millennium. It was recorded in Paris by Daft House productions, of which Bangalter, one half of the popular French house duo Daft Punk, is head. The song was conceived in Rex Club, Paris, where the trio were playing a live set. Bangalter and Braxe created the instrumental, which Diamond instinctively sang the title words over. The next day they laid down the track in the studio, adding the Chaka Khan sample.Though Bangalter was offered three million dollars to produce a Stardust album, the three members of the band parted ways after their highly auspicious debut. Diamond and Braxe pursued solo careers, and Bangalter, along with his usual partner Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, went on to release the second Daft Punk album, Discovery.DJ FALCON Real Name: Stéphane Quême Profile: Before producing on Roulé he worked in A&R department at Virgin. In 1999 his released his first EP (on Roulé) and produced a Remix of Cassius's "La Mouche" who is an all-time classic now. One year later, he started working with Thomas Bangalter on a track called "Together". And the rest is history..."Brother of Delphine Quême (Quartet) & Cousin of Alain Quême (Alan Braxe).THOMAS BANGALTER Real Name: Thomas Bangalter Profile: Son of Daniel Bangalter (Daniel Vangarde), who composed D.I.S.C.O. for Ottawan. In Groups: Da Mongoloids, Daft Punk, Darlin', Stardust, Together (2)..i141.photobucket.com/albums/r73/HARRYMARIA2/206134522a5 848565625l.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"ROY DAVIS JR Real Name: Roy Davis Jr. Profile: Added on board the Chicago house production team Phuture, as a replacement for DJ Pierre, Roy Davis Jr. later followed his mentor to New York and worked at Strictly Rhythm, recording his own singles for Force Inc., Big Big Trax and Power Music. Originally born in California, Davis moved to Chicago's south side early in his childhood. After being turned on by legendary acid-house pioneers like Phuture and Lil' Louis, he became a DJ and began producing as well, with his first single, "20 Below," recorded for the Jack Trax label.Roy describes the music that he makes as "soul electrica"; soul music mixed with electronics. His style has changed and grown up through the years as he has been going back to his spiritual roots in house music, away from the sound that he once was associated with - Phuture's "acid" and "wild pitch." The sound he is working on is expanding more on the soulful side combining an unmistakable deep funk sound of Chicago.
