About Me

After graduating high school, Character Marvel (Bryant), began working at Taco Bell where he met fellow rapper Eskimo One (Oscar). During their hourly conversations in between rolling up tacos and cleaning the bathrooms, both co-workers began discussing the different aspects of Hip Hop, and how they would do it differently but still keeping the original ways and methods that were used by old Hip Hop groups. With nothing more than an MPC 2000 XL, and their constant addiction of buying records, the two began taking their interest seriously. One August afternoon while looking for records, a man with a black beard (Mario a.k.a. Thrifty the Goodwill Purchaser), approach them and began talking to them about different record shops, the three men began developing a friendship that turned into a Hip Hop group. After countless hours digging for records, beat making, and recording at Character Marvelâ€™s in-house studio/bathroom the group developed a unique sound. In 2007 the Man with the Black Beard went on to pursue his passion for art leaving back his contribution in the Bridge Dwellers self-titled 7 song EP. In respect to the city where all three men met, La Puente California, they decided to call themselves Bridge Dwellers.
