About Me

www.onavery.blogspot.com
I like gentle pastimes such as flower pressing, making jigsaws, crochet and wicker work, long walks on the beach at sunset, huffing lighter fluid under Headfort Bridge and dogging.

My Interests

I'm quite interested in eggs. They're very versatile and can be poached, fried, boiled, scrambled, grilled or fertilized. Most recently I've been stealing them out of Heron's nests and eating them raw. Its supposed to make you brainy and muscular. I'm also known to eat the odd Moro from time to time.

Music:

Lennon/McCartney=God.
This week mostly The clientele, the field, the twilight sad.Decided to remove the big boring list of band names for that go to www.myspace.com/aerovsmoro.But always guided by voices, neutral milk hotel, boards of canada and New pornographers.

Movies:

Loreana has been introducing me to the weird and wonderful world of Studio Ghibli so I've recently loved Pom Poko and my Neighbour Totoro. David Lynch is my favourite director, so I'm a sucker for evocative abstraction thats light on conventional plot.

Television:

YAY!!!! Back in digital land....so I'm loving the new season of Boston Legal, Deadliest Catch, Showbiz Poker, European Poker Tour, Corrigan Knows Food, The F Word, Big Brother, and Sopranos Season 8. I like TV

Books:

Currently: The silver spoon: the ultimate guide to authentic italian cooking, The complete Ballymaloe cookbook, the third policeman, Anna Karenina and that poem by Coledridge 'The rime of the ancient mariner'. My next book will be Larousse Gastronomique, its winking at me in Eason's.

Heroes:

Here are my musical heroes: The Beatles, Jeff Magnum, Bob Pollard.

D thinks about albums Part 1: music has the right to children: by boards of canada

There's no build up. This album starts as if it existed forever, a timeless whirl of chimes and drones called `wildlife analysis' The hour or so that follows is some sort of musical rubiks cube, and e...
