En un fino equilibrio entre respeto por los grandes clásicos y un punto de vista personal, Charlotte nos deleita con su disco debut (recién editado y ahora disponible en las principales disquerías: Musimundo, Itunes) con una calidad técnica que sorprende.
Charlotte se rodeó de grandes músicos del jazz y folklore y grabó el disco en dos de los mejores estudios de Buenos Aires, con la producción artística de Rino Rafanelli (ex bajista de Sui Generis). El resultado fueron once temas de intenso nivel artístico y excelente sonoridad, en donde se destacan Makin.. Whoopee (Walter Donaldson & Gus Kahn), Two for the Road (Henry Mancini) y I..ve Got You Under My Skin (Cole Porter).
Nacida en Buenos Aires, Carlota De Micheli – Charlotte – comenzó su carrera a principios de los ‘90 creando Indigo Jazz & Blues. En 1994 se radica en New York, donde estudió Ingeniería en Sonido en la New School de NYC y trabajó como asistente de sonido en el estudio de grabación de Manhattan, Mixed Impressions, donde percibió la experiencia de artistas como Mary J. Blidge y Angie Stone (quien hace voces para Joss Stone). En el 2004 volvió a cantar en Buenos Aires acompañada por Charly Arana en guitarra y Julio Tello en batería, haciendo el tradicional circuito de jazz porteño. Tocó en Tono Rojo, Recoleta, para la serie de “Mujeres a Tono” y en Clásica y Moderna, siempre interpretando standards de jazz y bossa nova.
El 5 y 6 de abril del 2007 participó del Festival “Jazz entre amigos” en La Pedrera (Uruguay), donde actuó acompañada por el guitarrista Samy Mielgo (arreglador del CD de Charlotte) y con invitados de la talla de Ricardo León (durante mucho tiempo pianista de Chico Buarque), Walmir Gil, François de Lima (trompetistas de Djavan), y los músicos de Hot Club de Montevideo. También ha sido invitada en Radio FM Urquiza, AM Argentina y FM Maestra. El 2008 comenzó cantando en Uruguay Enero y Febrero, tanto en La Pedrera como en Punta del Este.

In a fine balance between respect for great classics and a personal point of view, Charlotte delights us with her surprisingly technical quality on this debut CD ( recently published and now available in main music stores: Musimundo, Itunes).
Charlotte surrounded herself by great jazz and folk musicians recording in two of the best studios of Buenos Aires, having Rino Rafanelli (70's argentine rock band Sui Generis's original bass player) as her Producer. Its result is a total of eleven tracks with intense artistic level and excellent sonority, in which the following songs stand out: Makin' Whoopee (Walter Donaldson & Gus Kahn), Two for the Road (Henry Mancini) and I've Got You Under My Skin (Cole Porter).
Born in Buenos Aires, Carlota De Micheli - Charlotte - began her career in the early 90's creating Indigo Jazz & Blues. In 1994 she moves to New York, where she studied Sound Engineering at the New School in NYC and worked as an Assistant Engineer in Mixed Impressions - a Recording Studio in Manhattan - where she experienced working with R&B artists like Mary J. Blidge and Angie Stone (who does vocals for Joss Stone) In 2004 she returned singing in Buenos Aires accompanied by Charly Arana on guitar and Julio Tello, making the traditional jazz circuit of Buenos Aires. She performed at Tono Rojo, Recoleta, for the series "Mujeres a Tono" and at Clásica y Moderna, always singing jazz standards and bossa nova songs.
On the 5th and 6th of April 2007 she took part at the Jazz Festival "Jazz among friends" in La Pedrera (Uruguay), where she performed accompanied by guitarist Samy Mielgo (who did all the arragements in her debut CD "Charlotte") and with guests such as Ricardo Leon (Chico Buarque's longtime pianist), Walmir Gil, François de Lima (Djavan's trumpetist), and musicians from the Hot Club of Montevideo. Also she has been invited to different local radio programs such as Radio FM Urquiza, AM Argentina and Radio FM Maestra. 2008 found her singing in different beach resorts around Uruguay (La Pedrera and Punta del Este). She has also been featured in various local magazines and newspapers such as Newsweek, La Nacion, Doquier, amongs others.
