Halo Effect

HALO EFFECT formed in Febuary 2003 as a cover band called Open Minded, with current members Jarid, Tim and Derek Bevis. After playing hundreds of cover songs, small parties for friends and family, and a couple of chances to open up for bands at BW3's, Open Minded started writing their own material. After more lame parties and a vision of heavy material, we added Lead Guitarist Jeff Gallant, and the name was changed to HALO EFFECT.HALO EFFECT took their time getting the sound they wanted and the shows they wanted. So, after a couple of big shows at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland and the Alrosavilla, Jeff left the band. Jarid moved from bass to lead guitar and Dax joined in May 2005 to fill the void in the bass department that Jarid had left.A little over a year later, and many, many shows later, the band decided it was time for Tim to make a move from the drums to a new position that we had only whispered about in the past: being the frontman. Tims vocals were so strong that a couple of people told the band that he needed to be out front leading the group. So, HALO EFFECT decided to utilize Tim's talent and let him step out from behind the drum kit. HALO EFFECT believed that he was what they needed to grow and suceed. So HALO EFFECT pick ed up Hansel, formerly of Lucidity, to play the pots and pans. He has brought a new style to HALO EFFECT that we are embracing. HALO EFFECT is now on their way to becoming the band they want to be and where they want to be. HALO EFFECT has also been busy playing with National acts such as RA, SMILE EMPTY SOUL, THE EXIES, AUTOVEIN, IN THIS MOMENT, SEEMLESS, LIGION, SOIL, and BOBA FLEX.
