What is my screen name all about? Being a mixture of more than one culture. Embracing all dimensions of myself, not fractionalizing who I am (half this, a quarter that, an eigth that).... Being complete. Knowing who I am. Role-switching when I want to. Being comfortable in my own skin. Not fitting so nicely into set categories. Checking more than one box. Being an advocate for other mixed-race persons. Refusing to "choose" one race, because THAT ISN'T ME.

Me: I am a mixture of Black and Desi (Indian), and I am damn proud of who I am. Being in India taught me a lot about myself, my culture (well half of it at least), and my family. I love to travel and discover new places, see new things. I am very open minded and love meeting people from all walks of life/different backgrounds/cultures...
I just graduated from the University of San Francisco on May 19th, 2006!!!!

My Interests

India. I find myself people watching a lot and analyzing situations way too much. I love adventure and seeing new things. Being a student leader. Track and field, Lakers, basketball, reading, writing, learning. Kids (tha babiez), tutoring/mentoring, giving back, community service, checking out new events going on in the Bay, Clubbin, Hookah, Sushi, Spending QT with my good friends, making out, sharing a bed, tickling people and being tickled, making people laugh, being soooo s*a*r*c*a*s*t*i*c, finding out what makes people tick...

M.I.A. is the hottest new sound from the UK. Her lyrics are crazy, but she always keeps it real (just read 'em). Check her out on www.miauk.com. I got to meet her before her concert in Frisco. She's friggin awesome.
Miri Ben-Ari has been around for sometime, but I just got her latest cd and I am IN LOVE WITH IT. If you love classical string instruments and good hip-hop beats you will definitely enjoy her! My favorite song on her album is "Hold Your Head Up High" feat. Lil' Mo.

Movies:

Mysteries/Thrillers, SCARY MOVIES, Bollywood Films, Independent Films, Foreign Films, Comedies, Cheesy chick flicks.

Television:

Discovery Channel, TLC and Court TV all rock my world. I love Cold Case, Forensic Files and other mystery-solving shows. Real World and other stupid MTV shows. Reality shows are addictive. I try not to watch too much TV. It disturbs the delicate balance of the neuronal web that is the human brain.

Books:

SIDDHARTHA, Invisible Man, Song of Solomon, Ramayana, Ladies' Coupe. Bhagavad Gita is a constant read. In the process of reading "Da Vinci Code" and maybe eventually finishing "Autobiography of a Yogi."
I like a lot of books by "Non-American" authors.
