Les Garçons Émotifs

Depuis 2004, un mélange nitroglycérinique entre la chanson accoustique, le folk des années 60 tienté d'une nappe de prog et de country sudiste, le tout brassé avec l'énergie d'un punk-rock crasseux qui pue. Ils se sont laissé avoir et corrompre par le vedettaria péladodisiaque. Les voilà, la tête enflée, accompagnés d'une section rythmique des plus déjantées à nous faire accroire que la mascarade que sont leurs spectacles n'est pas une facon grotesque de faire passer une panoplie de messages satanico-fascistes qui corrompent la jeunesse. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............In the begining, les Garçons Émotifs were composed of Olivier Legault and Charles Michaud who decided to make a musical parody of the most cliché love song ever. It's was a kind of "emo" parody and then, just for the fun of doing it, the guys decided to subscibe at Cegep en spectacle, a performing contest. They were joined by Gab who became the third guitar and vocalist of the band. Unfortunately, the project was rejected and Michaud left the band, dedicating himself to senseless sex and alcohol abuse. After few months, Gab and oli decided to give a second birth to the project and they wrote some new material, sometimes even a little bit serious, but always in the parodic spirit of the previous work. Thus, they did their first gigs, including Cegep en spectacle 2005. In the middle of spring, Oli and Gab wrote a whole lot of new songs, both thoughtfull and true at a level the Emotive Guys had never reached before. This have been a great occasion to play in some shows with bands like YESTARDAY'S RING, the ass kicking side project of THE SAINTE CATHERINE's, FEW DAYS DELEVERY, FEEDBACK and many more. During summer 2005, the Emotive Guys went trough big changes with the introduction of two new members : LashDeer as a drum player and Tristan as the well deserved bass player. Now, the Emotive Guys have both bigger total cock lenth AND a rythm section. Last september, the quartet did its first show in 3 months at Quebecs RECLAIM THE STREET porno fest, a fantastic anti-capitalism event with bands like LA DESCENTE DU COUDE, MASHAMBA and THE WHOLE WEEK playing. In the moment, Les Garçons Émotifs are working hardly on some old and new stuff. They found their sound, a curious mix between the folk- rock of the sixties, country of the country TV channel and punk rock, for the crassy sake of punk.
