I'll never forget the day, I was 8 years old, walking home from school and my mom pulled up behind me in our late 60's station wagon. I poked my head in the window and looked in the back seat and there it was, a bright red Kimberly bass (short scale of course). It sat there as if it were smiling in anticipation, waiting to be played. I absolutely freaked out! I had been begging for a bass for quite some time. At the time I was already playing drums pretty much since birth, according to my parents. I had already done session work at the age of 5. I remember my feet barely reaching the foot pedals. But I still had this unexplainable passion and desire to play bass. I grew up in a musical family that was always supportive of my musical endeavors. They never had to force me to practice. In fact I recall several times being asked to "take a break"! I was always playing. My childhood years were filled with hours upon hours in the music room jamming with my dad (piano), playing all this improv jazz stuff like Oscar Peterson and such. Didn't know what I was doing, but it didn't matter it all just flowed. 30 some odd years later, not much has changed. I still have the passion and desire to play. Through the years I've had the pleasure of playing with some really awesome talent. I've worked with producer/artists like Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin/Aerosmith), Sammy Merendino (Cyndi Lauper), Frank Romano (Rob Thomas, Justin Timberlake), Alan White (Yes), Freddy Salem (Outlaws), Mike Farona, John Denny, and bands: Jani Lane Band, Sweet FA, Defcon, VRT, Elijah Black, Healing Sixes, DeMarco Brothers, Collin John, Kevin DuBrow (from Quiet Riot), David Brooks, as well as numerous studio tracks and session work. I'm currently working on my new site basstrax.com where you can get custom bass tracks from me for your recording project. Also in the works , Marty Falle, Sue Minton, Seven O' Clock Chicken, as well as some other projects in the works, but I'm always open to new things and to anyone in need of what has been referred to as "That thing that You Do". Anyway, that's my story in a nutshell. Thanks for checking it out. Never Stop Playing!
