Hi, I'm Kylon Trower and I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my website.

I am confident your time invested here will leave you with information that will teach you the art of social networking and business building regardless of your business or profession.
I created this page to assist those yearning to live life on their own terms (maybe you can relate). You may be tired of creating a lifestyle for others that you can acquire for yourself and family. Although this journey will not be without challenge, the decision I made to step out on faith and work myself eight years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This decision has produced a level of personal, mental, spiritual and financial development I thank God for everyday. My goal is to extend my knowledge, experience and resources and give a hand up to you if you are willing to take this journey.
I'm happily married to a wonderful woman (Naomi) that has supported my businesses the last 8 years (Thank you honey!). She has watched me dream, experience great success and failure and endure sleepless nights in search of "The Secrets" to business success. We have three beautiful children Kylon (13), Jayden (6) and Nelia (3) and we live in Santa Clarita, CA about thirty miles north of Los Angeles.
I was born in Galveston, TX and moved to Southern California with my mother when I was four years old and have lived here every since. Being an only child raised by my mother and having very little contact with my father had a very profound affect on my upbringing. Thanks to my mother (An incredible inspiration to me and countless others) I was given the freedom and opportunity to experience many of life’s profound treasures at an early age. In two words, “I’m Blessed”!
Now It's Time To Test My Wings!

Fast forward to 1984 when I was twelve years old I started my first business. We had two large avocados trees in our backyard (I still love avocados to this day) and I’d pick and sell them to the local markets. At thirteen, my friends wanted to be police officers, fire fighters and astronauts (all noble careers), but I told my mom “I wanted to earn the most money possible with the least amount of time and effort". I understood the powerful concept of leverage early on and from that point I started lemonade stands, lawn care services and a many other businesses as a kid. Needless to say, I was born to be in business for myself.

I joined the Air Force as a reservist (Weekend Warrior) right out of high school and returned home after a year of tech school in Biloxi, MS. I was an Avionics Guidance and Control Systems Specialist (a fancy way of saying that I wasted a lot of taxpayer’s money on the weekends playing volleyball and eating BBQ). When I returned home from tech school I did some college and worked part-time but I still had the businsss bug which lead me to my very first Network Marketing Opportunity with Excel Communications, Inc. (Long Distance Services). At 18, I became the youngest Regional Training Director in the company and went on to have great success in MLM. I’d experienced the power of leverage and exponential growth which fueled my desire to pursue business even further.
My Wings Work, So Now What?

Soon I'd fallen victim to the daily grind of trying to get ahead in search of the next "Big Opportunity". You know the story! I worked several jobs, mostly sales; marketing and customer service related positions that helped hone my sales skills. Finally at 23, with the help of a good friend and mentor, I landed my first outside sales position with AirTouch Paging. I'd made it to the “Big League”, a nice salary plus commission and the flexibility to work from home or the office. I set my own appointments, closed my own deals and in essence, ran my own business. Life was good until new management stepped with a new agenda and decided to make drastic changes to the sales force. I was FIRED, I had no job and my income disappeared in an instant. This was my first real taste of the corporate world and it left me in a deep depression for about two weeks.

Though I was devastated I saw that the grass was greener on the other side in the world of "Cellular Communications" (The Next Wave, right!). Wait! Look in the Sky! It's a Bird! No, it's a Plane! No, It's NEXTEL MAN! Yes, that's right, the new Nextel Communications "Account Executive" stepped on the seen, suited and booted with briefcase in hand ready to take on the dreaded pager and all functionally obsolescent communications devices in the marketplace. My mission was to rid the streets of uselessness and outdated communications gadgetry. I did incredibly well as an outside sales rep on their business to business sales division until I got burnt out with quotas and frustrated with fraud being commited by shady sales reps in our office. That said, it was time to move on, so I did. No longer interested in the world of communications I ended that chapter in sales (E.X.C.E.L, A.I.R.T.O.U.C.H., N.E.X.T.E.L., F.A.R.E.W.E.L.L.!).
Now that I had that out of the way, it was time to "Build my Career". It was time to move into a more "Consultative Sale", right? That's the natural progression (so I thought). As my journey continues, another close friend had recently become branch manager of a Fortune 1000 recruiting firm. The company was one of the “Most Admired Companies” according to many reputable sources and seemed to be a sound career move, right? We'll, not exactly! You see, I'd traded in the freedom of outside sales for a four foot high cubicle and a time clock. If only I’d realized sooner that I had literally put myself in a corporate straight jacket in terms of my freedom. I'd been hoodwinked, bamboozled, lead astray but the deal was done as I had accepted teh job and made arrangements to leave Nextel. I felt like Tim Robbins in my own version of “The Shawshank Redemption".
Though I draw humor and sarcasm from my corporate experience, I am grateful that I was able to learn, change and grow from my involvement with the people I've built strong business relationships with over years. To all of my fellow sales associates, sales managers, account managers, head hunters, recruiting managers, clients past and present, I thank you for the countless lessons, experience and journey that has brought me to this place in both life and business.
I'm Free! But Freedom Comes At a Cost!

After making it out of the corporate world alive, I began working for myself from home eight years ago. After years of struggle trying to escape the "Rat Race", I was finally free! I started on the internet with Ebay and quickly became an Ebay Powerseller. After two years on Ebay I started a internet based mortgage company from my 2 bedroom apartment in my sweats and a T-Shirt. In less than four years I had earned my first million dollars, purchased three homes, brought my wife home from a successful ten year career as an engineer and never left my home office. This having been my greatest business success and not anticipating the downturn in the mortgage business during the spring of 2007, I was left struggling to make ends meet. Having invested heavily in real estate prior to the mortgage crisis we began to slip into financial quick sand.

Where There's a Will There's a Way!

At this point I wasn’t feeling very good about my life and circumstances and I needed to do something fast that would replace a $250,000 annual income. I needed a plan and I needed it fast! I found some friends in the mortgage business that started to promote an MLM that provided a much needed financial membership program that helped many families riddled with debt and credit challenges. I got started with the program and immediately I made my list of 100+ names and numbers, learned the scripts, attended the meetings (you know the drill, right). After 2 months of sweat, blood and tears I’d earned a little over two thousand dollars in commissions. As the tiny checks came in on a weekly basis I tried to get excited but found it difficult. My otherwise supportive wife even looked at me in disbelief as she sized up our expenses compared to our “$122 FAST START BONUS”(Not really a FAST START in my opinion). Clearly there had to be another way so I scoured the internet trying to determine (At age 35) what I was going to do when I grew up.

Finally, I discovered an e-book that talked about the internet being the future of MLM and Direct Marketing. I read the entire 80+ page e-book in about an hour and knew that I was on the right track. However, I still needed to find the vehicle that would propel me to my next million. After several days of researching and interviewing sponsors and mentors (by the way, there is a difference between the two), I knew I had found the team and the mentor(s) that would show me the way and the vehicle that would create the income, leverage, and time freedom I'd wished for since I was a thirteen years old.
Since then, I have put my mortgage business on auto-pilot through the use of internet marketing, lead generation and outsourcing. I now realize there is much more to the internet than JUST generating leads but there are opportunities to create "Virtual" Empires” through the proper use of social media and internet marketing strategies. I call it "High Tech meets High Touch".
I’ve found a whole New School of Marketing and Social Networking that has literally changed my perspective on business and life. So if you are like me and have lived life to the fullest and have experienced a few bumps along the road then I would love to share ideas and strategies to help you uncover this exciting new wave of business I refer to as:
Business 2.0

Heroes:

My Mother is One of My Greatest Heroes...

My mother (Carolyn) ensured that I had a very loving and fulfilling childhood and I look back with pleasant memories and no regret (Thanks Mom!). Her insight, love and Southern principles instilled in me an appreciation for life and the courage to break the mold in many areas of my life.

Remarkably intelligent and refreshingly warm and generous to all, as an only child I had to share her with countless others that lovingly referred to her as “Mom”. To this day she reminds me that many of our relatives as far back as I can remember have all owned and operated their own enterprises in one form or another (herself included) and that my business mind and pursuits are par for the course. Mom, you are and always will be one of my greatest heroes!
