About Me

I was born on December 1, 1935, as Allen Konigsberg, in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of 15, I started selling one-liners to gossip columns. After working a while as a stand up comedian, I was hired to write What's New, Pussycat (1965) in 1965. I directed my first film a year later, What's Up, Tiger Lily? (1966) in 1966.
