RUARIDH PRINGLE - Singer, Songwriter & Musician

About Me

As well as singing I play guitar, mandolin, octave mandolin, tenor banjo, didgeridoo and occasionally keyboard and whistles. I've so far written over a hundred tunes mainly in Scottish trad. styles, some of which have are being played by well known bands, as well as three dozen songs. In 2002 I studied Traditional Music at the increasingly highly regarded Lews Castle College Benbecula, where I had the privilege of being tutored by some of the best trad musicians around. As well as solo work I play and sing as half of duo 'Tattie Jam' with Seylan Baxter, one of the best known cellists on the Scottish traditional scene.
