We are Vanilla Kick.
We started playing together properly in early 2004, though me (Cal) and Harry had been playing together in a band previous to that, and Rory and I had footled about with some tunes for a while.
We started gigging fairly quickly, playing mainly covers, but with a couple of originals. We kept writing songs so that we could ditch songs that weren't our own, as we hated playing them.
Our first Ep was finished about a year after we formed, containing four of our own songs. However, by the time we had completed it, we felt that it no longer reflected the style of music that we play.
Finally, in January 2006, we managed to scrape together the pennies to get ourselves into the studio again, this time to record songs that we were really confident about. The result of this is 'Run and Tell the King', another four track that is on sale for £3 (see blog for more details). Some of these songs have been made listen-to-able on this very page.

Another recording was at West Suffolk College in Bury St.Edmunds. They needed a project and we're not ones to turn down some free recording. From it we got two songs we were very happy with and "Tick Tock", one of those two, may well be playing to you right now.
