About Me

Hello! My name is Christian, and I currently reside in Paris, France with my beautiful lover Satine.
I came to Paris exactly one year ago. I had never heard of Satine, Harold Zider, or the Moulin Rouge.
My father didn't accept my way of life. He figured that I would fall in with a can-can dancer and end up wasting my life. Little did he know!I had sat down at my typewriter one day, to write a magnificent poem about love...there was only one problem! I had never been in love!Suddenly, an unconscious Argentinean fell through my roof. He was then joined by a dwarf dressed as a nun.The dwarf introduced himself as Toulouse-Lautrec and they were writing a play...I joined them, not having any idea as to what I was getting myself into.
"The hills are alive with the sound of music...with songs they have sung for a thousand years."-I gave the missing piece of the puzzle to the new Bohemian Revolutionary show. Toulouse suggested to the playwright Audrey that he and I write the show together...but that wasn't what Audrey wanted to hear.
The Bohos decided their next step was to get the play to the Moulin Rouge. The only problem was, how? Satine. They suggested that I wear the Argentinean's best suit and that they'd pass me off as a famous writer. She'd be so thrilled by my words that she'd take us to Zidler and he'd accept. Once again...I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
The Moulin Rouge was a dance hall that was just dripping with sex. The rich and powerful came down to the Underworld to play with the creatures that lived there. And then she came....the Sparkling Diamond. I had never seen anything so beautiful. Toulouse told me that he had prepared a special meeting between her and I. Totally alone.
The next thing I knew, I was face to face with a bunch of fluffy pink feathers. Satine pointed to me and said, "Let's dance." Somehow my feet knew where to go...I knew what to do. I got lost with her. I told her that I couldn't wait until we had our private poetry reading. She seemed intrigued.
When she had to perform her finale, something odd happened. She fainted right off her trapeze! But as we found, it was all part of the act. But something told me it went much deeper than that...
Before I knew it, it was time for me to read the poetry. Satine came out in a stunning black laced lingerie outfit. It made me forget nearly everything. It didn't help much when she started to moan and groan...and...wait, where was I?
Ah yes, something suddenly came to mind and before I knew it-I was serenading her. "My gift is my song...and this one's for you. And you can tell everybody that this is your song." When we were done and I had her in my arms she gasped,
"I can't believe it. I'm in love. I'm in love with a young, handome, talented Duke."
"Duke? I'm not a Duke...I'm a writer."
Something told me it wasn't good when all the "love" had disappeared from her eyes. She found out that I was another one of "Toulouse's-oh-so-charming-penniless-Bohemian-writers". She lost it.
Let's fast-forward a little bit...how about to now. ;)
Satine and I are hopelessly devoted to each other. She is only a dancer now, and I am still trying to find my one true masterpiece story. We're very happy with each other.
Nothing will tear us apart.
