- Five kids from Braintree, MA form a hardcore band as the Boston hardcore scene begins to grow.
- Along with hardcore contemporaries and legends Gang Green and the Freeze, among others, Jerry's Kids contributes to the classic "This Is Boston, Not LA" and "Unsafe At Any Speed" compilations. Suddenly, the Boston punk and hardcore scene explodes onto the map.
- Jerry's Kids releases their "Is This My World?" LP. It is the sixth release from the hardcore edge label X-Claim!, and the last before the label faded into obscurity. This was classic Boston hardcore at the height of its popularity: the Boston Crew. Without any promotion, the record quickly sold 3,000 copies.
- The band breaks up as the scene changes and bands such as DYS become more metal and stop playing all ages shows. Moreover, the band was sharing part of its line-up with Gang Green at this point making it hard to play out.
- With original guitarist Dave Aronson, the band reforms and begins to play shows again. The band is still playing hardcore but begins to change their sound as the 80's continue.
- "Kill, Kill, Kill" is released, a second full LP. More metal than before, the album was not as well received by Jerry's Kids' traditional audience. This was later released as a double cd including the earlier "Is This My World?" by Taang Records.
Jerry's Kids continue to play shows into the 1990's and beyond. While the line-up occasionally changes and the guys are much older, the show does go on in Boston. Along with Gang Green and second-generation hardcore heroes Slapshot, Jerry's Kids remains a stalwart of the scene and proof that Boston does it better.
