I don't belong on this planet or this time frame. All I ask for is a few hundred years so I can get the flying car I was promised and get the mirror shades implanted over my eyes.Until then I resort to despising the fact that I am a by definition, a mere human, lacking a titanium frame and a whirring harddrive, among other things.I long to live in a city where its forever night and the artificial sky casts a light blue glow on the synthetic buildings below. I long to reside on the 205th floor of a pyramid community in an apartment with self-tinting windows and sterile white plastic walls. In a world with a universal immmunization against any organism that compromised the "human" bio-system, where everything is voice activated, everyone has a sim-stim deck, and I can jack into the matrix whenever I needed to get away.

Every book that William Gibson has ever written, Neuromancer, Burning Chrome, Idoru...And other cyber/science fiction books. Books about failed utopias like 1984, Farenheit 451, Brave New World, Catch-22, Walden Two, Where the Sidewalk Ends, Harold and the Purple Crayon, the pokey little puppy, the Catcher in the Rye, any of Freud's or Jung's books, anything on dream interpretation, abnormal development, schizophrenia and psychoses . . .
