About Me

* * * * * * * * W E L C O M E * * * * * * * * *What can I tell you? I love Morten Harket ... uhuh... you knew that.I'm a country gal at heart ... love the great outdoors ... and my faithful dog Jess. I live in the good old city of Glasgow, but it doesn't take long to jump in the car & head out to the lovely Scottish countryside. I love travelling ... whether it's the UK or abroad...as long as it's not a beach/sunbathing holiday...I HATE SAND & loathe sunbathing. I LOVE a whole range of music ... not just a-ha! Sondre Lerche, Big Bang, Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Thomas Dybdahl, Squeeze, Space, Soundgarden, Scissor Sisters, Kaiser Chiefs, The Smiths/Morrisey,Razorlight, The Monkees, Nick Drake, Big Country, Queen, Talking Heads, Jeff Buckley, Pink Floyd, The Stone Roses, The Housemartins, No Doubt/Gwen St, Paul McCartney, The Doors, The Beatles, The Who, Deep Purple, Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver, The Christians, Rolf Harris, Erasure, Mostly Autumn, Casbah Club, Frame of Mind, Asleep, Paul Simon, Savoy, Magne F, Morten Harket, Erasure, Brad, RHCP, Boney-M, Bay City Rollers, Slade, Kate Bush....the list goes on....

My Interests

Add Glitter to Pictures

Holiday snaps ............I am an avid animal lover........ I would have a football pitch worth of pets if I only had the time, the space or the money. I've currently got a black labrador called Jess. I enjoy photography and I also love my computer ... so am getting endless fun from my new digital camera. When I'm not on an a-ha forum or myspace, I like to get the paints out & try my hand at being arty. An old one of Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam...

I'd like to meet:

You really have to ask???????

Music:

IT'S A-HA TIME .....Ohh my god ... it's Morten Harket!!!! a-ha really should thank me for all this free advertising! As well as being damned attractive & the frontman of a-ha, Morten is a mighty fine singer/songwriter. He has released 3 solo albums: one in english 'Wildseed' & 2 in Norwegian.... not even gonna try to spell them, but I can sing along with them even though I have no idea what he's singing about... width="425" height="350" ..Magne Furuholmen & Paul Waaktaar-Savoy also have solo projects. Mags is known as Magne F these days & has a cracking album out called 'Past Perfect Future Tense' ... Paul's band Savoy have a rocky/mellow sound going on & have various cd's out ... each one more amazing than the next... Poor a-ha ... they get tagged with the boyband image, but they are in their 40's now & totally sick of the 'oh my, what nice cheekbones you have' comments. I was in the foyer of the ABC in Glasgow in Feb '06 ... chatting away on my mobile when Morten walked in. What do you think I did? I stood there & shook & he looked over & walked past. I couldn't even manage a 'hello'. (Sometimes being shy is an absolute curse).

Movies:

DOG SOLDIERS, DARK WATER, ALIEN, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, JAWS, NIGHT OF THE HUNTER, CAPE FEAR, THE SPAGHETTI WESTERNS, CALL OF THE WILD, PLANET OF THE APES, THE OMEGA MAN, LOGANS RUN, WIZARD OF OZ, CARRY ON SCREAMING, DELIVERANCE, SALEMS LOT, ANY OLD HAMMER HORRORS...

Television:

Love any sci-fi ... especially Star Trek, Quantum Leap, Doctor Who & The Invaders. Most Haunted is great ... now and again (pretty fed up with all the tapping though!) Even stayed at the Jamaica Inn down in Cornwall & booked into one of the haunted bedrooms shown in one of the episodes ... creepy but great. Really loved LOST until it got a bit too whacky ... HATE REALITY TV!

Books:

My favourite: 'Sookie Stackhouse vampire series' by Charlaine Harris. Also love Charles De Lint, Richard Laymon, Simon R Green, Terry Goodkind, James Herbert, Dean Koonts, David Morrell, some Steven King... if it's got monsters, horror, wizards or demons then I'll give it a read.
