Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Delmar Grice, otherwise known as Bishop, found himself immediately surrounded by the harsh realities, that come along with the urban life of today. It is no wonder that his lyrics, and voice mimic the heartfelt soul of singers long gone from the modern day music industry. First born to Dallas and Marsha Grice, Bishop found his outlet, as many up and coming artist do, in the church. After being recognized for his talents, he soon gained acces to the Rochester School Of The Arts (SOTA). SOTA provided an avenue for him to perfect his trade, and added gas to the flame which would propell him in the oncoming years. As with many artists coming from smaller urban environments, Bishop soon outgrew his home city. After doing a plethora of festivals, and social events, he finally decided to relocate to the city of New York. As one might imagine, Bishop felt right at home in the music capitol of the world. It did not take him long to gain access, and considerable acclaim at many venues throughout the city. Along with acclaim, Bishop also gained respect from his peers, and because of it has linked up with other New York native groups. Subsequently he has had the opportunity to open up for many headlining acts (such as the Roc-A-Fella family as well as for various Bad Boys artists). Time will only tell the heights he will achieve. A Singer/Songwriter in his own right, all that is left is the opportunity to share his talents with the world.
