Jada's real name is Marykay and she doesn't sell cosmetics.
Marykay hates when people call her Mare. Mary is okay, MK is better, but a mare is a horse, thank you very much.
Marykay's twins are now 20 years-old.
Marykay lives in NJ and likes it, believe it or not! It's good to be some place and set down roots.
By 8th grade, Mk had been in 9 different schools from moving so much.
Marykay is a big fan of honest, substantive communication.
MK has fibromyalgia and arthritis, among other stuff. Sometimes it's just annoying and sometimes it hurts like a bitch. So if it reads like a "doing the pain thing" day, it's probably due to fibro.
Mk believes she cooks pretty well and bakes very well, especially chocolate!
Mk belongs to a bookclub, but only managed to read about 1/2 the books --until she discovered books on tape at the library!
Mk used to watch lots of TV, now it's sort of dwindled down to crime shows and WWE (all brands).
Mk has been getting white hair since her 20's. When feeling really defiant or out of sorts she used to paint a purple stripe on the side of it. (The kids at church thought it was cool. The grown-ups just didn't get it.)
Right now mk doesn't feel like she fits in anywhere.
MK doesn't feel old enough to becoming a grandmother, even if her hair is white!
MK wonders where does one store a lifetime of memories?
Also wondering, how to make room for a baby when the house is already full...
Discovering the answer -- shred stuff. garage sale. donations. (reuse, reduce, recycle)
mk's parents life in NC. She was visiting there monthly, but won't be able to much anymore w/ grandson coming.
MK has no idea how she is going to balance parents and a grandkid, come the new year. She has since realized there is no answer.
Marykay adores fresh strawberries, peaches and blueberries, but really dislikes strawberry or peach ice cream.
MK loves dogs and petsits whenever anyone asks!
The beagle dog, Anika, watches and waits for Marykay to get ready for bed so she can have a warm place to snuggle.
MK can't breath around cats because of allergies. She catsits too, but sure doesn't cuddle w/ them!
Mk wastes too much time on the computer.
MK plays SIMS & Rollercoaster Tycoon, version 1. She likes board games too, but not many other folks do these days.
MK still plays neopets, as the kids abandoned their pets,(the kids got "too old to play") so mom rescued them from starvation.
MK happily "friends" kids on neopets and shares cool stuff.
Mk always tries to make time when someone needs her.
MK has written 3 books for Recreation Directors who work with old people.
mk loves to help turn kids on to reading and learning, in fun ways!!
Mk enjoys shooting photos and is really glad for myspace and a place to display them.
MK finally broke down last month, Sept. and bought a new camera - went to visit the state zoo down in NC, by her folks.
It was a great time just to walk, shoot pics, and have no
responsibilities for one afternoon.
On the way home, while paying for gas, her brand new
camera was stolen. The gas station had fake security cameras. Never got to even see one stinkin' picture that was shot.
MK's parents have NEVER heard her cuss up such a storm
in their lives.
MK is feeling less trusting, now.
That's a bummer.
