dos jotas

Dirty as HELL-Demos w/ Big D and shows comin' soon

About Me

There is Heartbreak. There is Joy. At times you may be worried and lost. Other times you have feelings of both confidence and triumph. This is the kind of juxtaposition that can be construed as both manic and beautiful all in the same breath. It's life and everyone lives it. It’s about having your soul crushed and rebuilt all in the span of a 3 minute song. As son House says, “there ain’t but one type of blues” and dos jotas takes a bare bones, rock AND roll approach to blues music. Dustin “Big D” Davis lays down the groove on some big ass drums as Jason “J-Ro” Roberts attacks a down tuned guitar with a slide through fuzzed out tube amps and adds overdriven vocals to make a sound as big as Texas. Yup...dos jotas is two more white boys playing stripped down punk-ass blues. But there is a shit-ton of Blue Cheer and Black Flag (and at times some serious ‘fuck you’ pickin’) happenin’ in this duo. The sound is thick and will hit you dead in the face hard enough to knock your two front teeth out and have you whistlin’ but with warm tones and beats dirty enough to leave you wanting more. Get on the train, bitches.
