The roots of the metal band Caerimonium were planted in February 2004. The ensemble, which consists of members with experience from various other local acts, swiftly started to rehearse on a regular basis. Songs where written with an emphasis on varied rhythms, and constant riff changes. The inspiration came from different metal genres like thrash metal, death metal, heavy metal and black metal. Reviews say that you can hear similarities between Caerimonium and great bands like Sabbat, early Skyclad, Cannibal Corpse and Satyricon.
The lyrical concepts found a natural focus around religious and historical themes.
In January 2005 the band recorded a demo in "Musikkforum" in Sandnes, Norway. Subsequent to this Caerimonium played concerts locally and out of town. In addition the creative process in the band was highly vivid, and new songs were constantly composed. As a result the group spent two weekends during March this year in Suksesslaboratoriet. Here they recorded their self-financed album called "ChaosFear".
